Ellis, R. & Goodyear, P., 2009. Students' Experiences of E-learning in Higher Education 1st ed., Routledge.
This is possibly the most readable e-learning book I've come across - a welcome contrast with tomes such as Laurillard which I have yet to get more than a third of the way through. It takes a holistic view of e-learning in a university context, considering it as part of the learning 'ecosystem'. At times the ecological metaphor had me wishing I'd concentrated a little more in biology, but overall it is an effective one.
