Technical support (staff and students)

Are things not working as they should?

Please use the relevant MyServices form and provide the Digital Education team with all relevant information. We will investigate the matter and support you.

Please note: For complex issues, we may need to collaborate with the MyPortfolio provider, Mahara, which could impact the resolution time.

Demo and workshop requests (staff)

If you are interested in:

  • A demo of MyPortfolio
  • A tailored workshop for your module, course or department
  • Designing the use of MyPortfolio to fit your educational context
  • Learning about advanced MyPortfolio functionality
  • Sharing any other ideas or requests

Please get in touch with the Digital Education team via the following email: isd-digiskills@ucl.ac.uk

Demos and workshops can be delivered on a one-on-one basis or as group sessions (faculty, department, module team).

Please note: use this email only for workshop and demo requests. Technical queries will not be dealt with via this email.

Student guidance

In addition to the core guidance about the tool, you can access a set of student-focused guides. The guidance focuses on student tasks and covers both individual and group assessments.

Faculty collaborations and contributions

If you have any training resources or case studies that you would like to share with all UCL staff and students via this university-wide resource centre, please get in touch with us via email: isd-digiskills@ucl.ac.uk.

Contributors:

  • The student focused guides have been created by colleagues in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences. This guidance was positively evaluated by students as part of the Engineering Foundation Year.
  • The Department of Political Science and School of Public Policy has contributed to the resources centre with student FAQs and guidance about using templates. They have been successfully using templates to scaffold their students' portfolio assessments.
