October 2010: Chosen to represent the Arts and Humanities Research Council at an event organised by the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology at House of Commons to present innovative scientific research to MPs and other invited guests
October 2010: Nominated for the student UCL Provost’s award for Public Engagement
May 2010: UCL bursary to attend the Cheltenham Science Festival. Chosen by UCL Communications as a student reporter for the festival: www.ucl.ac.uk/cheltenhamblog/author/annfenech
April 2010: Accepted as part of the New Outlooks in Science and Engineering (NOISE) programme, a UK-wide campaign funded by the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The programme provides early-career researchers with the tools to communicate the importance and relevance of their research to a wide public audience
March 2010: Presented at an event at The National Archives for 14-19 year olds called ‘To Save or not to Save’
