How do I scan the QR codes to activate the links?
Using a freely available barcode scanner software ('app') on your phone or tablet. If you don't have a scanner app, you can install a free one from your provider's app store or similar. The app store is often linked from your device's home screen.
The scanner works with the camera and internet connection on your phone or tablet to activate web links on my posters.
- When you reach a poster with a barcode on it, launch the scanner app by tapping its icon.
- Follow its instructions if you need to.
- To scan a barcode, you point the camera lens at the code on the duck poster - hold fairly steady and not too close.
- A web page should then load (you may be prompted to allow this) containing an entry about that location, and your next clue.
- Repeat when you reach the next poster.
