How are public policies developed and negotiated? Who decides? How do we end up with specific policy outcomes? Can we change them?

Policy Portfolio is an assignment as part of the undergraduate course Introduction to Politics at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES). Over 16 weeks students will engage with a policy area of their choice (e.g. 'Big Society', carbon offseting, etc.), exploring key actors, interests and instruments relevant to their area. Drawing on knowledge gained throughout the course, students are invited to evaluate existing policies and embed them within larger political debates and challenges.
