Audience

Our audience is 14, 15, and 16 year old teenagers. We have been careful not to patronise the audience, but instead present complex ideas in bitesize chunks intercepted with videos and fun facts. The tone of the copy was influenced by that of BBC Bitesize, as this is a widely used and successful platform for GCSE education.

We tested out the 24 word limit which was employed at the Grant Museum, however we found it was far to short to give any proper context. Instead, we decided to keep it brief still to keep attention.

Why Ambiguity and Ethics

This digital exhibition hopes to raise awareness and encourage our audience to question the authority of Museums. Through their implicit authority, it is not often that visitors are aware of the ambiguity in the objects they see on display, or indeed the unethical nature of their acquisition. This eclectic collection presents a selection of object all with unknown histories. We hope to encourage our visitors to start questioning the objects they see: asking why is it there, for what purpose, and where has it come from?
