Earlier this month (3rd - 4th April 2012) I was lucky enough to be able to attend MoodleMoot in Dublin, Ireland. Not only that but I was honored to be able to present, the topic of my session was 'Using Mahara with Moodle'.
This was a very exciting experience for me, which also came with a lot of nerves beforehand. Having never done a presentation to such a physically present and prestigious audience I was not sure how it would go. Thankfully the feedback so far has been positive, and the room was filled with standing room only.
It was such a wonderful experience, and I definately intend to repeat it. Overall the conference was both enjoyable and interssting. Not only did I learn a lot but I got to meet plenty of new smiling faces. The Moodle community is certainly one of the friendliest communities I've ever met, with an interest in moving forward, creating fixes to problems and not just moaning.
