Introduction to the Interface

Welcome to the MyPortfolio interface! Here's a guide to help you navigate through its various features and functionalities.

Dashboard

Your Dashboard serves as the central control panel for your MyPortfolio experience. From here, you can access every aspect of your ePortfolio with just one click. Additionally, you can stay updated on activities happening across your pages.

Learn more about the Dashboard in the Mahara Manual.

Create

The Create area is akin to your storage cupboard, housing all your digital assets and resources for future use. Here, you can:

  • Create portfolios (Pages or Collections).
  • Record reflections and thoughts in journals.
  • Store files.
  • Develop plans.
  • Record CPD activities.

All content stored in the Create area is private by default, ensuring confidentiality until you choose to share it via the Share area.

Share

In the Share area, you present the artefacts stored in your Create area. This section enables you to:

  • Choose access levels for your Pages/Collections.
  • View shared content from other MyPortfolio users.

Engage

The Engage area facilitates interaction and collaboration within study groups associated with your modules. Here, you can:

  • Access existing study groups.
  • Create your own study or special interest groups, either closed or open for new members.

Manage

The Manage area empowers you to manage your portfolios efficiently. Here, you can:

With MyPortfolio's intuitive interface and diverse functionalities, you have the tools you need to create, share, engage, and manage your ePortfolio effectively.

Your Profile Page

Your profile page is what represents you in the system. You can fill it with lots of useful information that may interest others here at UCL, and can even make it public.

You edit your profile page just as you would for any other page in MyPorfolio, therefore we recommend you undergo the My Portfolio Induction Activity to understand the mechanics of page building.
